Ketocosmo cookie dough and nut butter fat bombs

Ketocosmo cookie dough and nut butter fat bombs

What would you say if I told you I had a recipe that contained creams, butter, and chocolate, yet was nutritious and perfect for the keto diet? Better known as ‘fat bombs’ these little bites of buttery goodness were created especially for those who follow a keto diet.

The high fat, low carb content of these keto fat bombs will help you burn more fat and they taste delicious too! In fact, even if you aren’t on the keto diet, you can enjoy these fat bombs, which are packed with flavour and taste incredibly decadent and sweet.

This recipe combines two incredibly popular ingredients that most people on a diet are deprived of – cookie dough and peanut butter. Just because you’re on the keto diet doesn’t mean you should miss out on these delicious flavours. This isn’t another dessert keto recipe stuffed with sweeteners – it’s also full of healthy fats and nutrition.

Although the recipe calls for peanut butter, you could swap it for almond butter, which has a lower carb content. However, unless you’re allergic to peanuts, I would strongly recommend using peanut butter as it has a saltier taste than offsets the chocolate chips perfectly!

Another ingredient used in this recipe, which you might not recognize is MCT Oil Powder. This is a type of fat that is derived from certain oils, such as coconut oil. It gives the fat bombs a delicious creamy texture and doesn’t interfere with the taste at all.

Finally, don’t skimp on the chocolate chips – use the best quality ones you can afford as the flavour will be less artificial and sweeter.

Recipe Notes

Featured ingredient: MCT oil powder

MCT oil is derived from ‘medium-chain triglycerides’, which are found in some oils and dairy products. This supplement is extremely popular in the weight loss world and you might see it pop up in several keto-friendly recipes.

You will find MCTs in coconut oil, which, when consumed, go straight from the gut to the liver. It’s here that they are turned into ketones. Because the calories in MCTs are used straight away, they are less likely to be stored as fat, which in turn can help you lose weight.

As well as aiding weight loss, MCT oil has many other benefits. It’s been reported that it can help with brain and memory function, delaying the onset of Alzheimer’s disease. It can also help boost your energy, particularly when working out, and even help lower cholesterol.

Finally, studies have reported that MCT oil could help improve blood sugar levels, which can help in aiding diabetes management.

MCT oil powder contains the same health benefits as it’s oil counterpart but comes in a powder form. This is done through a process called ‘spray drying’.

Most people prefer to use the powder as it’s easier to combine with other ingredients when baking and cooking. It’s also better for the digestive system and has a creamier texture.
